General Dental Practitioners

The Scottish Government engaged QMPF to provide an analysis of the earnings and expenditure of General Dental Practitioners providing NHS dental services in Scotland. This involved QMPF designing and distributing an excel based questionnaire, tracking and analysing results which were then anonymised and used to populate and develop a database to process the information received. QMPF investigated financial data in relation to gross earnings and expenses. QMPF reported key findings and observations in respect of the characteristics of principals versus associates, general dental practices versus specialist practices providing orthodontic treatment, different business models and urban conurbations versus those in rural areas.
