Gavin joined QMPF in 2022 as an Analyst having previously worked as a process engineer within the energy and chemicals industry.

He has experience performing financial analysis and support across a range of renewables, education and infrastructure projects including:

• Working with Local Energy Scotland & Welsh Government Energy Service to conduct research with developers, funders and community groups to better understand shared ownership models and approaches for community investment in utility scale energy projects.
• Supporting local district council in financial modelling and finance case for a district heating scheme in the North England.
• Developing several bespoke models for a university client to streamline annual reporting and internal resource allocation.
• Performing various peer group benchmarking and analysis tasks, including creating a university benchmarking PowerBI dashboard.

Gavin graduated with an MEng (1^st Class Hons) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and has passed his CFA level 1.
