Graeme Aithie

Graeme specialises in debt funding, investment appraisal and delivering capital projects and has more than 12 years of experience across a diverse range of infrastructure sectors. He has worked within higher education, social housing and real estate; and advised public sector bodies such as Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Airports, and the National Asset Management Agency (Ireland). Graeme is currently advising a major European fibre broadband provider on its first network deployment project in the UK.

His main focus lies in co-leading our education team which supports universities on debt funding, strategy and financing student accommodation. Graeme has helped deliver major “off-balance sheet” residences partnership projects for the universities of Edinburgh, Hull and Salford. Recent transactional experience for private-sector clients includes advising Uliving on its £55m Pittville Student Village and Unite on its £227m acquisition of Aston Student Village – which remains the largest single asset transaction in the sector in the UK.

Graeme joined QMPF (then Quayle Munro) in 2008, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in PwC’s Banking & Capital Markets division in London. He has first class honours degree in Economics with Business Economics from Glasgow University.

Graeme is a trustee and treasurer of Venture Scotland, a charity which provides an outdoors-based development programme for disadvantaged young people.
